Our Policy
“We will not conduct any activity that cannot be done safely.”
This is more than a statement — it is the operational mandate that governs every decision at TANKSTORAGE ASSETS ANTWERPEN From facility design to daily permit-to-work procedures, safety is always the first consideration and the last check before any operation proceeds.
Our Approach
Three Pillars of Our HSE Framework
🌿
Environment
We recognise that petroleum infrastructure carries significant environmental risk. Total Storage B.V. operates advanced environmental monitoring systems at every site — tracking air quality, soil contamination, and waterway impact in real time. Our secondary containment systems, spill response procedures, and waste management protocols ensure that we operate responsibly within every host community and ecosystem.
👷
Health & Safety
The safety and well-being of our workforce is paramount. All personnel undergo rigorous HSE training before they are authorised to work on-site. We operate a strict permit-to-work system, conduct regular safety audits, and maintain a zero Lost Time Injury target across all facilities. Emergency response plans are tested quarterly through live drills and scenario exercises.
🔐
Security
Our terminals handle critical national and international energy infrastructure. ISPS-compliant security protocols, 24/7 surveillance, access control systems, and cybersecurity measures protect our facilities, our partners’ products, and the surrounding communities. All security procedures are regularly reviewed and upgraded in line with evolving threat assessments.

Emergency Response
Prepared for Every Scenario
TANKSTORAGE ASSETS ANTWERPEN maintains comprehensive emergency response plans at every facility, developed in collaboration with local emergency services, port authorities, and regulatory bodies. Every site has a dedicated Emergency Response Team (ERT) trained in fire fighting, spill containment, medical first response, and evacuation procedures.
Our 24/7 emergency response hotline ensures that any incident — whether on-site or at sea — receives immediate coordinated response with full management escalation.
